Swiss Army Field Telephone MSC36

Hailing from the Swiss Army, this type of field telephone (Feldtelephon 50) was used from 1950 right up to the 1980’s and in this age of digital communications which are prone to hacking and jamming this old school method still has a use. Made with typical Swiss durability, the phone is housed in a thick canvas case with protective flaps and an adjustable shoulder strap. There is a cavity inside to put the hand set when not in use which also depresses the battery cut-off. To operate you rotate the sprung red handle to send a ring tone to the other end. When both parties are pressing their hand set levers communication can commence. Note – we are selling these as a cool collectible item with no guarantees that they work. But as mentioned before they are solidly Swiss made and field telephones are a fairly straight forward piece of kit to anyone with a basic knowledge of electronics. You will need (not included) a suitable length of speaker cable and 1xD-cell battery per unit. Apparently online there are further detailed instructions/manuals etc and even spare parts.
