Austrian Army Web Belt BLT03

This type of webbing belt has been in Austrian Army use for decades and is probably still in use. Very similar in design to the US Army “ALICE” style it is made from 5.5cm wide vertical weave olive drab nylon webbing. Size adjustment is made by folding back both belt ends and hooking them into the middle set of eyelets. Plastic belt keeps hold everything in place. The unique buckle featuring the Austrian “Bundesadler” (coat of arms) takes some practise to open and we recommend trying it a few times before wearing to avoid a panic! When wearing (with the eagle the right way up) hold both belt ends close to the buckle and break it open like you were snapping a stick. There are two lengths we call “regular” and “Long” – see below.
