British Army Pattern 1949 Battle Dress Uniform

The 1949 Battle Dress uniform was the evolution of the wartime combat uniform to a “smartened up” version worn with a shirt and tie suitable for parade use. It saw service throughout the Cold War years and on into the early 1970s. This example is the British version but many commonwealth countries including New Zealand followed the same practice. Here we have a Jacket (blouse) in a size 13:

Height: 5ft 11″ – 6ft                                                                                                          Chest: 38′ – 39″                                                                                                                Waist: 33″ – 34″

And Trousers in a size 11:

Height: 5ft 9″ – 5ft 10″                                                                                                      Waist 33″ – 34″                                                                                                                Inside Leg: 32 1/2″

Both Jacket and Trousers are dated 1954 and are in very good almost unissued condition with no signs of excessive wear and tear.
