French Army F1 First Aid Pouch POU09

Used by the French Army throughout the 70/80’s, these cotton canvas pouches were originally for a first aid kit attached to soldiers webbing equipment. Measuring roughly 14cm high,10cm wide and 4cm deep, the pouch closes by four flaps which close with hook and loop fastener. The French Army way was to loop the leather strip through and fix with a wire tie to ensure the contents (morphine?) weren’t tampered with! On the rear face there is a clip hook and 40mm wide web loops for attaching to web straps.
