French Army M52 Canteen CMP07

This is the French Army model 1952 aluminium canteen which saw use up to the 1980’s when it was replaced by a plastic version. The bottle has a capacity of roughly 1.5 litres and closes with a bakelite or plastic cap held in place by a metal chain. The wool lined cotton case can attach to a belt with a 70mm belt loop and it has the American style 1910 wire hooks as well. These bottles have been in storage since the 1970’s so will need a thorough clean but after that you’ve got yourself an excellent military grade vintage non-plastic water flask.
