French Army Tank Helmet HLT01

Looking almost like an American Gridiron helmet, these were worn by French Army armoured vehicle crew to protect their heads inside the Tank while “off roading”. They appear to be made from a type of fibre board with plenty of padding and an outer green leather cover and an inner liner that can be removed for laundering.There are rows of eyelets along each side for ventilation, slits at the back to fit goggle straps, holes each side for earmuffs/headphones and a leather chin cup. All in all a solid piece of gear!
