French Army TAP51 Web Belt BLT04

These 5cm wide canvas webbing belts were the part of the French Army’s move away from leather equipment in the 1950’s and were primarily issued to the TAP (troupes aeroportées) or Airborne troops. Similar to the WW2 American M36 web belt, it is fixed at one end and adjustable at the other (max length approximately 108cm) the adjustable end clipping back with metal claws into eyelets into which suspenders and various pouches can be clipped etc. The belts are used but still in very good condition.
