French Black Leather MAT49 Ammunition Pouch POU17

These leather pouches were used by the French Military throughout the 50’s-70’s to carry magazines for the MAT49 SMG. The same pouch in brown leather was used by the Army whereas ones tanned black were for the Gendarmerie. Measuring approximately 26cm high x 11cm wide and 4cm deep they feature 6.5cm belt loops, a brace attachment ring and a flap that closes with a tab and staple. Being ex-French Military and decades old we recommend some leather conditioning to ensure they last for decades more.
