Kirza Simonov SKS Pouch POU06

These type of pouches were made for carrying four 10-round stripper clips of bullets for the Simonov SKS semi-automatic rifle and they are made in brown “Kirza” material with leather trim and straps. Kirza was a type of hardwearing waterproof rubberised vinyl popular in Cold War Russian equipment. These particular pouches are the standard brown type issued to all Soviet military personnel armed with an SKS rifle. Most of the date stamps are illegible but they date from the late sixties/early seventies and we are reliably informed that they came from Ukrainian military stores not Russian!
