NZDPM “Squires” Patrol Pack

These packs were part of a small run made for the NZ Army by “Squires Manufacturing” of Taihape in the early 2000’s when it was realised there was a need for a smaller “patrol/day pack” rather than using the full sized ALICE pack. With a total capacity of (by our calculations) roughly 40 litres, it consists of a main compartment with drawcord throat and securing strap. Attached to this are three smaller buckled pockets with drain holes and a zip pocket in the top flap. The adjustable shoulder straps have side-release buckles for quick removal and there is a 38mm wide waist strap. This example is not the one pictured, it does not have the chest strap but it is otherwise identical and is still in very good used condition with many years use left in it.
