Swedish M59 Jacket JKT39
First designed in 1959,these jackets were worn by the Swedish army throughout the 60’s to 90’s.They are an un-lined heavy weight cotton garment in the distinctive Swedish army emerald green. They feature a button front, two front button pockets, one internal chest and fob pocket on the left side and two on the lower back similar to the Wool jackets(JKT32) They also feature a strange flap which is secured behind the rear pockets. This was designed to pass forward between the legs and button to the front keeping the jacket securely in place – similar to that used on the British Paratroop ‘Denison’ Smock. Jackets are used and may have some fading, marks etc, some have insignia, some don’t, but all are still in very good wearable condition.
