United Tribes Flag

Recognised as New Zealand’s first official flag, the United Tribes, or He Whakaputanga flag was first adopted in 1834 by a delegation of Maori chiefs and English representative Mr James Busby. Made from screen printed 100% polyester, these flags measure approximately 3ft x 5ft and feature brass eyelets at each end of the tape reinforced “hoist” to enable it to be flown from a flag pole.
