US Army Gas Mask Bag BAG39

These bag were used for the US Army gas masks,the ‘Mask,Protective,Field M17’ to be precise.They are made of sturdy cotton canvas and close with two rugged ‘lift the dot’ fasteners.Being a gas mask bag it features many extra pockets for small items,3-external and 1-internal and it has stiffening on the front and rear faces.They were originally designed to be worn opening forward on the leg but they have had the strap re-positioned so that it opens on the top like a regular bag.A great piece of gear at an awesome price!
