These ex military Aluminium Mess Tins which seem to hail from France consist of an outer “pot” with lid into which the smaller container and its lid fits. The bigger pot has “studs at each side on to which the aluminium handle can attach, either for stowage or to hang over a flame. Packed up the pots measure approximately 15cm in diameter and 9cm deep.
